Elizabeth Bates

Elizabeth Bates is a teacher and Pushcart-nominated writer from Washington state where she lives with her husband, son, and two Siberian Huskies. Bates completed her MA in English through Southern New Hampshire University and was honored with the 2020 Distinguished Scholar award upon graduation. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Dwelling Literary. 

 

Her writing has been published in a variety of literary journals and magazines. Her poem, "Thesaurus," is forthcoming in Cardigan Press's inaugural print anthology, BYLINE LEGACIES.

When Bates isn't teaching or writing, she enjoys spending time with family; singing; playing the piano; watching birds; reading; taking pictures of the sky; and tweeting.
